Replies not showing as read within posts

A minor thing I've noticed on my phone, pixel/android. When I click on the replies within the thread, they do not change colour to show they have been read. This happens within the original post, not from the main screen.
It does change if I click on them a second time.🤔
In the picture shown, I have already read Robin's post at the bottom as an example. I hope this makes sense? No big deal, I know how thorough you are Ste. 😄💙
