Boston advice please?

Need to book a couple of night in Boston bookending a holiday to Nova Scotia 

Any suggestions on best area to stay please - just to relax & maybe have a mooch/drink rather than any activities in particular.
Any hotels in particular you’d recommend?

Any thoughts on Nova Scotia too please - we’re doing 2 diff properties & driving so we’ll have a car.
