Thank you (again!)

All, I wanted to say another thank you for all the kind words, all the input, feedback and suggestions. Particiularily to Rainhill Runaway for his feedback and contribution from the early hours of inception, not to mention his expertise in UI/UX and for the graphics that have give this place a little bit of its own brand, More importantly I want to say thank you to all those who have jumped on board and pushed for this place to become our new home, our new community and our new virtual pub. Boardhost was fantastic, it has been a huge part of my life for the past god knows how long and it's introduced me to fantastic people and some lifelong friends, aquaintances, and educated me in things I'd never have sought out elsewhere. It's strength was always the people behind the keyboards, I've watched as this place has provided comfort and support in dark days of people's lives, I've sat in here when it became the only functioning outlet for latest news updates on the web during 9/11. It's been amazing to see some special people on here achieve special things in their lives outside Everton and share them with a group of (mostly) bonkers Evertonians from around the world. With all that in mind, I'm actually sad to see boardhost go but it was broken and it was breaking with more regularity. I'm delighted to have pulled off what we have here, I never thought I could achieve what I hoped to but I wanted to at least give it a try with my fingers crossed that we wouldn't lose anyone along the way by moving to an alternative provider that just wouldn't quite have been the same. I hope this place lasts forever, I feel a huge sense of responsibility to look after it, protect it, ensure it is fit for purpose but never change what makes it so wonderful in its simplicity. I think there is more for the future, searching, archives etc but they are for another day, another pre-season. For now, I just want to share with you all how much it means to me that we have arrived here , and how grateful I am for everyone's contributions (and especially those who have already donated) I'm please to say the machine has agreed to continue to help administer posts and new accounts and over the coming week or so I'll be approaching a couple of others to help on that front too. I have some backend bits to tidy up around the admin portals and then I will be in touch with those who have shown and interest in protecting the code should anything happen to me or this place going forward also. The old forum has now been closed, with a message of redirection to here. What an achievement, I can't wait to see this board come to life with a big signing, the Palace game or some huge news (Castore's 43rd kit of the season release maybe!) Thanks again for putting your faith in me and to all those we lost from the old place for one reason or another, raise a glass and a toast, their memories live on, The People's Forum lives on, safe and secure in our own communities hands* UTFT. Ste *Guarantee you the place falls to fucking pieces when we sign a right back but don't worry, I'll be around to fix it!!
