Everton had a deal fully agreed with Sporting for Morten Hjulmand. We agreed terms with him and he & Emilie visited to look for a home.
It was almost ‘go’ until Atletico Madrid came in. Perhaps unsurprisingly he and she preferred CL football and a life in the Spanish capital.
The £40m or so (including add-ons) @Everton agreed for him should IMO go to signing Doue for right back.
We can go cheaper/younger at DM or extend Tim.
